Decent turbo, definitely NOT DIRECT REPLACEMENT!!

Do not make the mistake I did, I had just joined the Subaru community and didn’t know much and this being a turbo specialist company I figured they wouldn’t mislead me but I should have done my research and not trusted a company trying to sell a product but hey they got me, I’m giving 3 starts instead of 1 because I also sent my injectors and fuel rails to them and they did a great job I’m definitely not here to bash the company just stating my honest experience, I’ve had the turbo now for awhile and waited so I could give an honest review, you will ABSOLUTELY need a tune for this turbo you will need bigger injectors and fuel pump and adjustable regulator so you better empty out your piggy bank it’s gonna get expensive, you will also need to modify your stock heat shield or go a different route, also inspect inspect the turbo for flatness on all flanges mine was not even close I had to get mine fixed my intercooler which was brand new oem Subaru would not seal had to get it cnc’d to get it to seal. If you get this turbo and just throw it on it will absolutely boost creep and can damage your engine and you will also have fuel cut off ask me how I know, you’ll need a pro tune or at least an etune, if you do it right including turbo approx $3000 dollars that will get you approximately 60hp depending on your tuner, and yes I called the company before purchasing to ask if it was plug and play and a direct bolt on and there answer was YES and that’s definitely not the case, I have not hassled the company in any way I just made it work because I didn’t have time I was building the car for my wife and just wanted it to be perfect for her and this is what it turned into, now that I’m in a Subaru community where I live I could have made this company a fortune if they were upfront with me and in my opinion and facts that I found to be true had a deceptive description of the product, but all in all so far the turbo is working fine but I do not trust it so every 10,000 miles I will be taking my downpipe off to check for shaft play, also I should have done my research and talked to a tuner before my purchase and that’s exactly what I recommended you to do but I did not because it’s stated in the description no retune needed so I thought I had no reason to, please take my advice and do not put yourself in the situation i did being a newbie definitely cost me don’t let it cost you the time and money it did me.
